At the Invest in #Mozambique: Exclusive Energy Investor Roundtable in Maputo, Sabine Lydia Müller, our Mozambican BiogasUnite representative, actively engaged with key players in the energy sector on a game-changing approach to cooking energy. Although not the most common topic at the event – but one that was very well received. Energy experts recognize the urgency, and we are here to unite the energy sector to tackle it!
Our message was clear: closing the cooking energy gap demands a fresh perspective, and CO₂ compensation must go beyond offsets to truly benefit both the climate and local communities. We know how to combine both – and we offer a unique opportunity to invest directly in Mozambique.
With household biogas, we don’t just stop deforestation and provide clean, safe cooking energy, but we create local economic opportunities. And more than that, we have an investment case that goes beyond anything done before.
A huge thank you to the Mozambique Energy Chamber (Camara de Energia em Mocambique) and the African Energy Chamber for hosting this important event. It was a great opportunity to connect with government officials, industry leaders, and investors and we are honored to play a role in shaping the future of Mozambique’s cooking energy landscape.
