Culture

Mozambique has a wonderful and rich culture which largely derived from its history of Bantu, Swahili, and Portuguese rule, and has expanded since independence in 1975. Its official language is Portuguese. The various African ethnic groups like Makhuwa, Tsonga, Makonde, Shangaan, Shona, Sena, Ndau, speak over 40 different languages.

Tchambalakate maintains excellent connections to local artists such as painters, sculptors, dancers, singers, musicians, linguistic artist and many more. We can organize meetings, workshops, courses as well as any kind of small or big events.

We mediate between our guests and the artists and are happy to promote local artists who receive no government support in Mozambique and yet are important pillars of culture.
