Founded in 2022 as a grassroots initiative, AMO Agrofloresta connects farmers, researchers, students, practitioners and organisations working towards more resilient farming systems in Mozambique.
Our vision is to strengthen food security and farmers’ health while restoring ecosystems and increasing biodiversity through locally adapted, pesticide-free and regenerative land-use practices.
We believe that lasting solutions should be developed with—not simply transferred to—Mozambique. Therefore, we map agroforestry initiatives, promote knowledge exchange between practitioners, encourage South–South collaboration and support approaches that are culturally, ecologically and geographically adapted to local realities.
AMO Agrofloresta serves as an open platform for networking, collaboration and peer-to-peer learning. Through our online community, webinars and practical exchange, we connect people across the country and help share experiences, ideas and successful practices.
Together, we are building a community that believes resilient agriculture, healthy ecosystems and thriving rural livelihoods go hand in hand.
